Ceremony / Reception Locations
Smith-Gilbert Gardens does not offer indoor venue accommodations. We apologize for the inconvenience. All locations in the garden are included in your rental fee. Thus, you can decide your ceremony and reception location from anywhere on the property. Below are the 2 popular locations for most brides, but we would be willing to accommodate other ceremony locations.
Rose Garden – by far the Most Popular location in the Gardens. This is where 90% of brides get married. The space can accommodate up to 200, but is the perfect setting for any number. The rose garden offers a breathtaking background to a ceremony as well as a naturally elevated stage for bride and groom.
Perennial Garden – This is a perfect area for a smaller wedding of up to 60 guests. It captures the beauty of the perennial bed, which is in bloom from spring to fall. This area also includes the splendor of the Hiram Butler House, which makes a beautiful backdrop or centerpiece of any ceremony.

Smith-Gilbert Gardens will not refund money due to inclement weather. Smith-Gilbert Gardens strongly recommends rental tents as we are unable to accommodate a party over 50 indoors. All tents will be scheduled through Smith-Gilbert Gardens. The cost of the tent will be the responsibility of the Client. All tents exceeding 700 square feet must be reviewed and approved by the Cobb County Fire Marshal’s office and thus must be arranged at least 2 months in advance.
Guests receive complimentary admission to the gardens and are free to explore the surrounding areas before or after the event. Children under the age of 17 must be supervised by parents or adults at all times while on premises of the Garden.
